the wedding of Rebecca

A couple weeks ago hubby and I went to a friend's wedding. We left the baby overnight with my parents (1st time being away!) and drove 3 hours north of their house to the tiny community where the wedding was. It was a cute chapel, and a very simple, nice wedding. Afterwards, we drove to the cabinwe rented, got changed, and went to the reception. Beautiful, babbling creek outside the cabin.

The reception was across the street. The food was great, the music a bit hippy-ish, but nice, and the party lasted a LOOONG time! After the majority of people left, the kegs of really good beer that the bride and groom bought for the occasion were still flowing. A core crowd stuck around and chatted & drank beer. We stayed till the restaraunt closed and then the party moved down the street. The bride's parents and her aunt (who is a nun) were drinking beer with everyone and having a blast.

Hubby let loose and allowed himself to really have a good time. We met up with a few people we hadn't seen since college. We made new friends, and we stayed up late and got pretty damn drunk. Thankfully, we just had a short ways to walk back to our cabin.

We were both a bit hung over the next day, but really happy. It was the best weekend I've had in a long time.
